No Picnic Hampers Please - Restricted Items at Olympics

The Olympics is just days away and the excitement is rising!

If you are lucky enough to be going, you need to just double check before venturing out with your vast picnic hamper and other gear as to what items are actually banned at the Olympics.
No frisbees, no picnic hampers, no liquids, no noise making items, no oversized flags larger than 1m x 2m and so the list goes on....

Apparently the Beijing Olympics was also heavily criticised for the restrictions, but if you are unsure and don't want to have items confiscated, then think airport security measures, and you won't go far wrong.

Equally, if you want to just breeze through the security checks with minimum delay, then do travel light...
There will be baggage scanners, and I suppose if you think about it, these measures are necessary. So as long as it's a small cool bag you probably will be ok. Just check for full information on the website. We've found the link here.
